What a weekend

We had a weekend that tested all of our parenting capabilities (which, to be honest, are not much.) About 3 weeks ago Jimmy was sick the flu. Then last week I was sick with the flu. And now? It's James' turn! Our poor guy woke up on Saturday morning with a fever that eventually topped out at about 102. We gave him Tylenol all day hoping to break it. He was so cuddly and lethargic, our hearts broke just looking at the poor guy. Then at about 7:00 he had a fever of about 101 (with Tylenol) and ended up projectile vomiting all over the living room and his daddy and our sofa. So I made our first emergency call to the pediatrician while Jimmy gave James a bath. The doctor said we were doing everything right and not to worry. After all the brouhaha we tried to put him to bed but he just wanted to be held and cuddle. So we gave in (he was sick after all) and let him sleep with us for one night. He would cuddle with Daddy, then he would roll over and cuddle with Mama.

He woke up on Sunday feeling slightly better, but he still wasn't himself. He had slightly more interest in playing, which was good. We still had to give him Tylenol all day because he still had a fever, but at least he was feeling slightly better. He enjoyed watching the football game with his Daddy (I don't know what he's going to do until August.) And he was able to sleep in his own bed last night (albeit with numerous wakings.) Things seem to have slowly started returning to normal for us.

On a picture note - I seem to have misplaced my digital camera, so once I find it I promise to post more pictures!

He's doing much better today - very happy and playful and hooray - no fever!
